International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved the expansion of the women’s Olympic water polo tournament to 12 teams, starting with the 2028 Los Angeles Games. This change achieves gender parity, aligning the number of women’s teams with the men’s tournament, which also features 12 teams. What a historic day for womens water polo!
